Let me tell you something. I was thinking this afternoon.
(“Steady Chris” I hear you say. Bear with me.)
14 years ago this week I was in Daventry College, being interviewed for a course which ended up changing my life in ways I had never envisaged. I literally took an academic year out of my life, while continuing to work, and trained in aromatherapy, reflexology and massage. The rest, as they say, is history.
How did I hear about this course? I literally stumbled across it when I stepped off the bottom step at Northampton College, where I was teaching for Leicester University. My bag hit the side table at the bottom and knocked over a pile of next year’s prospectuses, and one of these fell open at the course page for the VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies course! “Hmmm” I thought. “I always wanted to be a therapist, and maybe this is my chance!”
14 years later, here I am, running a complementary therapy centre and recruiting for the next cohort of students. Could one of these be you?
