Free counselling via The Hummingbird Centre

We are pleased to welcome Juliette from the Hummingbird Centre to the Amethyst Centre on Thursday afternoons from next week, to provide free counselling for cancer patients and their families. This is what they say about what they offer people:

A cancer diagnosis and the effects of treatment can have a significant impact on your wellbeing,
relationships and self-image. It is not uncommon to feel lost and vulnerable once treatment has
finished.

At the Hummingbird Centre we offer a counselling programme that gives you the opportunity to talk
to a professional counsellor in a confidential, supportive environment. You will be offered an initial, no obligation “getting to know you” session and if you decide to proceed with the counselling , up to 6 free counselling sessions.

Our counselling programme is open to people with a cancer diagnosis and people affected by the
