This luxury pedicure training course is accredited by ABT (Association of Beauty Therapists) and will develop the skills and knowledge required to professionally and safely carry out treatments on clients.

Pedicure will instantly improve the condition and appearance of the nails and skin of the feet and lower legs and is a popular treatment for clients.

Within this course your will learn how to maintain effective health, safety and hygiene, preparation for pedicure treatments, prepare yourself, client and work, use effective consultation techniques to identify treatment objectives, carry out necessary tests prior to the treatment, provide detailed recommendations, select products, tools and equipment to suit treatment needs, identify contra-indications/contra-actions, advice on aftercare and home care.

Practically you will learn techniques including shaping the nails, treating the cuticles, massaging the feet and lower legs, applying nail enamel.  You will also learn about specialised treatments to target your client’s needs and selected from foot exfoliation, paraffin wax, hand masks and even heat treatments such as hot oil and thermal mitts.

Through home study you will gain knowledge and understanding of health and safety whilst working in the hair and beauty industries and develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills to a high occupational level.

You will also need to maintain your personal appearance and good communication with the client. This accredited course is in compliance to the Hair and Beauty National Occupational Standards and is accredited by ABT (Association of Beauty Therapists) for membership and insurance purposes.
