The Swedish Body Massage training course will develop the skills and knowledge required in the Beauty/Nail and Complementary Therapy industry. It can be physically demanding to carry out, but it can be extremely rewarding to feel your client relaxing as the massage progresses.

Within this course you will learn how to maintain effective health, safety and hygiene, consult with your client and be able to prepare yourself and client, gain knowledge practical skills for massage techniques, massage mediums, how to recognise contra-indications and how to follow safe working methods. Carry out necessary tests prior to the treatment, provide clear recommendations to the clients, select products, tools and equipment. Use different consultation techniques to identify client treatment needs, identify contra-indications/contra-actions, advice on aftercare and home care.

You will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety whilst working in the hair and beauty industries and develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills to a high occupational level.

You will also need to maintain your personal appearance and good communication with the client. This accredited course is in compliance to the Hair and Beauty National Occupational Standards and is accredited by ABT (Association of Beauty Therapists) for membership and insurance purposes
