Earlier this year a firm of physiotherapists visited the Centre and decided to move their Coventry base to the Centre. I was intrigued by this and keen to know their reasons for actually moving from one place in Coventry to another, so I asked them.
One of their key points was that the Centre is close to the city centre, being less than a mile as the crow files from the Cathedral. It is also excellently served by bus routes, both local ones and more regional ones like the X6 from Leicester stop just a couple of minutes walk away. There is a large cheap car park only 5 minutes walk away at Clay Lane, and there is also unrestricted on-street parking on the side streets around the Centre.
The other thing they told me gave me pause for thought. It was that they weren’t in the market for having their own establishment themselves, being a national firm with an HQ in Nottingham. They were keen that someone else do all the dealing with landlords, utilities companies, cleaning, and all the other stuff that goes with having your own centre. That was what attracted them to the Centre, along with reasonable pricing and a modern, well-looked after Centre.
Have you been considering branching out on your own as a therapist, but baulk at the thought of all the red tape and bureaucracy involved? Or maybe you are considering working from home, but have your doubts about safety and security? Let the Amethyst Centre take the strain of this for you.
Our team of myself (Chris) and Janet, together with our key volunteers Yvonne and Caroline, work hard to ensure a welcome for everyone. There is always a member of staff on hand to assist and support you. The Reception area is comfortable not clinical, as are the rooms: they are easily cleaned and have comfortable furniture. The building is well-lit and secure: your clients have to ring to gain access and be buzzed in through the maglock system.
Chris and Janet have many years experience in business, and if needed, we can provide mentorship for therapists who are just starting out on their self-employment journey.
We obviously tailor our help, and if therapists make a commitment to the Centre by paying monthly in advance, we will ensure you are publicised for each month you are with us at the Centre, both in the free promotions we do online and also in the paid promotions. If you do commit to the Centre in this way, you can if you wish have your own page on the website. We can also do more practical things like taking card payments for you, which we can then transfer to your bank account.
Oh and we do make some very good coffee and herbal teas!
