This Thermal Auricular Therapy (Ear Candling is accredited by ABT (Association of Beauty Therapists) and will develop the skills and knowledge required to professionally and safely carry out treatments on clients.

Ear Candling is associated with complementary therapies which benefits the release of congested earwax build up, it aids in the softening and natural process of its removal, other benefits eases congestion, sinusitis, headaches to mention a few.

Within this course you will learn how to maintain effective health, safety and hygiene, be able to prepare for thermal auricular therapy (ear candling) treatments, prepare yourself, client and work, use suitable consultation techniques to identify treatment objectives, carry out necessary tests prior to the treatment, provide clear recommendations to the clients, select products, tools and equipment. Use different consultation techniques to identify client treatment needs, identify contra-indications/contra-actions, advice on aftercare and home care.

You will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety whilst working in the hair and beauty industries and develop an underpinning knowledge and understanding of the practical skills to a high occupational level.

You will also need to maintain your personal appearance and good communication with the client. This accredited course is in compliance to the Hair and Beauty National Occupational Standards and is accredited by ABT (Association of Beauty Therapists) for membership and insurance purposes.
